Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them,
I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.
The rain came down, the floods came,
and the winds blew, and beat on that house;
and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock.
Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn’t do them
will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand.
The rain came down, the floods came,
and the winds blew, and beat on that house;
and it fell—and great was its fall.” (Matthew 7:24-27)

Step 1 - Water Baptism

Get Water Baptized As Soon As Possible

Why Get Water Baptized?

Water baptism is a powerful outward symbol of your decision to leave behind your old ways of living and following Christ’s way of living. Water baptism is a public expression of your faith in Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection.
Baptism in water represents dying to your old self and becoming alive to your new spiritual life in Christ. It is an outward expression of your inner heart-felt repentance. During water baptism, going under the water symbolizes our dying with Christ and coming out of the water symbolizes being resurrected with Him into our new life. We highly encourage water baptism as one of the first steps following your salvation decision.

Scripture references:
•    John 16:16 He who believes and is baptized shall be saved.
•    Acts 2:38 (NASB) Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
•    Romans 6:4 (NASB) Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

Step 2 - Holy Spirit Baptism

Get Water Baptized As Soon As Possible

Why Get Baptized in the Holy Spirit?

When Jesus ascended into heaven, He asked Father-God to send the Holy Spirit to infill us with power, teach, and guide us. If you want to receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit, ask Father-God for this amazing gift in Jesus’ name. He’s quite willing.

Being baptized or filled with the Holy Spirit is a benefit you don’t want to miss. Jesus gave his disciples the promise of being filled with the Holy Spirit for many important purposes including transformational spiritual power. “When he says, ‘You will be baptized with the Holy Spirit,’ he means you will receive extraordinary power for Christ-exalting witnessing.” Learn more about the powerful infilling of the Holy Spirit in Acts 1 and 2.

Scripture references:
•    John the Baptist said in Matthew 11:11: "I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire."
•    Luke 24:49 (NLT) Jesus said. “And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised.”
•    Jesus said this in Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
•    John 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

Step 3 - Personal Testimony

Share your personal testimony of what God did for you.

Why share your personal testimony?

We encourage you to share your personal testimony with others because it’s both biblically accurate and important. Sharing your salvation story helps others to understand God’s love and brings Him glory and honor. Your personal story of how God rescued you from sin and death through Christ and changed your life can open the door to talk about the Gospel (story) of what Jesus did on the cross. When you share your story with others, you also help others to understand more about the goodness of God, what He is like and what He can do. Your personal salvation story can show others how you experienced God’s love. They may become interested in hearing even more about the Gospel from you. It's a wonderful opportunity and privilege to share a personal account of how the Gospel changed your life.

Scripture references: •    Mark 16:15-16 And He (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.•    Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. •    Romans 10:13 “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Step 4 - Connect

Connect with other followers of Christ.

Why connect with other believers in Christ?

When you became “born again,” you were spiritually adopted into the family and Kingdom of God and it is full of people with the same (spiritual) Father. The bible sometimes refers to this group as the ‘body of Christ’ or the ‘church’ which meet to worship, fellowship and learn. Some additional reasons to meet with other believers is to learn what God says about you, exercise your spiritual gifts, and help others in their spiritual walk. Since you are part of a new spiritual family, you can learn how to share in both the responsibilities and benefits of being in a family. If you are serious about your spiritual growth, you may want to consider being in community with the body of Christ.

Scripture references:
•    Ephesians 4:16 - From whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body.
•    Galatians 6:1-2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
•    Romans 15:1 We who are strong ought to bear with the shortcomings of the weak and not to please ourselves.

Step 5 - Grow

Grow your spirit and learn who you are in Christ.

Why learn about the Bible and learn about spiritual things? Did you know there are so many benefits of growing spiritually that there are thousands references in the bible on it? These include topics and principles essential to your everyday life and can dramatically impact desired outcomes?

The spiritually dark world around us touches most parts of our lives – and those of our close friends and family. For example, the Bible teaches us we are in a spiritual war between good and evil, and light and darkness and many are ill-prepared for winning the ensuing battles which challenge us in one way or another.
Your spiritual growth is very important to Father-God because it’s important to your life. As a new member of the Kingdom of God you must learn how to successfully navigate spiritual principles and one of the most important ways to learn is to read the bible, apply the principles, and build healthy relationships with Father-God, Jesus, Holy Spirit and with other believers.
We highly recommend following a prescribed spiritual learning path such as the one described in this book.

Scripture references:
•    John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
•    2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
•    Colossians 1:10 So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
•    2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
